Stephen Cary possesses over 25 years of senior leadership experience in the areas of business development and licensing, corporate and regulatory strategy, debt and equity financing, intellectual property and litigation, mergers and acquisitions, operations, and product commercialization in the life sciences industry across a diverse portfolio of pharmaceutical products and medical devices. Prior to co- founding Greensward Ventures, Steve served as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Chief Operating Officer at Handa Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a publicly traded specialty pharmaceutical company based in Taiwan with operations in the United States, where he served as a member of the company’s original senior leadership team from 2006 until his retirement in 2025. During such time, Steve was instrumental in leading Handa’s growth from an initial valuation of $10 million to a market capitalization exceeding $500 million. He began his career in various sales and marketing roles at Glaxo Inc. (now GlaxoSmithKline), where he was honored with the company’s President’s Club Award for exemplary sales performance. Steve holds a BBA in Marketing from The University of Iowa and an MBA in Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Maryland. He currently serves as a Board Director for Xylyx Bio, Inc. and Transradial Technologies, Inc., and as a Board Observer for Tidal Vision Products, Inc. and TecTraum,Inc.
